Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course & Gate Person Airlock Installer and Operator **COMBINED**

SERVICE DESCRIPTION TTMBC This gives candidates an introduction to the industry and allows them to work in the highway sector. This is the start of their traffic management career. The course is ran by an credited Lantra trainer.

You will be given the basic information for the TTMBC. At the end of the course you will need to complete a test to make sure you have understood the information given. After you have passed the test you will achieve your TTMBC Lantra qualification which allows you to work in the Traffic Management Industry as a trainee.

The qualification will last for six months therefore it is vital that you progress to the T1/T2 course before the six month expiry.  

GATE PERSON AIRLOCK INSTALLER-

The course is ran by an accredited Lantra trainer. Learners must have completed the Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course (TTMBC) This course will cover:

• Safety and risks

•Requirements and signing layouts

•Sequence for installation of an airlock

•Operating an airlock

•Multiple entry points with one crew

•Dealing with incidents and incursions of works sequence – removing an airlock

These two courses have now been combined due to Gate person and airlock installer now being a mandatory course since September 2025.
